Any Bass players among the WHO faithful?
Good afternoon everyone, I'm looking for Bass tabs for 2 Beatles songs that I can't for the life of me pick out.
The songs are 'Rain' and 'Being for the Benefit of Mr Kite'
If anyone could help, that would be wonderful
In the mean time I have provided 2 youtube links to someone playing these songs.I don't know these blokes.

Rain

Yeah mate, I understand where you're coming from.
And, yes, I should try and pick out the bass line by ear, though I'm the 1st to admit that playing bass doesn't come easily to me. But I love the bass lines of these songs.
Will keep trying.

I remember Morphine, Gary. Sax player would play two saxophones at once. Lead singer snuffed it.

Decent band.

Personally I think you will be better rewarded sticking at working it out yourself. I've always found tabs to be dumbed down to a cringeworthy degree.

I use a pick by the way! On a Rickenbacker... Chris Squire one of my all time fave bass players.

Ha ha, meant Chris Squire, although Squid does sound more bass player.

Chris Squid and his trusty Rickenbacker 4001. Quite like using a pick, more attack. Jimmy Bain

Not sure that example disproves anything. Note I said least talented guitarist (excluding the drummer obviously) not untalented.

Presuming we both agree Harrison was the best guitarist, I have no idea who was better out of lennon and macca at the time.

To be honest what I said was just a crass generalisation having filed in on bass myself on a fair few occasions.

Didn't the bass player in Yes use a pick/plectrum? Never heard of that elsewhere.

Lead guitarists, they never appreciate the skill of a bass player, As a chap who plays both, I know which takes the greater skill and concentration...

"Your guitar's missing a few strings there" - quote from another guitarist I once worked with.

Big Dave. It was very tongue in cheek mate. I was playing a couple of weeks back with Alan Thomson (John Martyn band) and he was absolutely amazing. :-)

One minute of googling would've got you the results.

Bungo wrote...

Many (including Cliff Williams) have had VERY successful careers doing that. :)

Yep, including Adam Clayton from U2, I saw them at the Brixton Academy in 1985 and I think he played 3 notes all night....
